Clinics in Bali: Private & International Clinic Directory by Area

For non-emergency care in Bali — a stomach bug, a wound, a
prescription, a travel vaccine, a check-up — a private or international
clinic is faster, cheaper and perfectly capable, and this directory maps
them by area: Seminyak, Canggu, Ubud, Sanur, Kuta, Nusa Dua and
Denpasar.
Each area listing tells you the same four things a
foreigner needs: are there English-speaking doctors, what are the
opening hours, is it walk-in or 24-hour, and where the nearest hospital
is if things escalate. We are independent and take no payment to list a
clinic.

When a
Clinic Is the Right Choice (and When It Isn’t)

A private clinic in Bali is the right first stop for
the large majority of traveller health issues: gastroenteritis (“Bali
belly”), minor wounds and stitches, ear infections, rashes and skin
problems, fevers, prescriptions and refills, travel vaccinations, blood
tests and general consultations. Clinics are quicker and cheaper than a
hospital ER, and southern-Bali international clinics reliably have
English-speaking doctors.

Go to a hospital instead — not a clinic — for
anything involving chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe trauma,
heavy bleeding, suspected fractures needing surgery, or any
life-threatening symptom. When in doubt, our emergency hospitals guide tells
you where to go, and you can always call 118/119.

Clinics in Bali by Area

Bali’s clinic density follows where visitors stay. Below is the area
map; each links to a detailed directory with named clinics, hours and
English-speaking availability.

Seminyak

A hotspot for travellers, Seminyak has several private clinics and
24-hour medical options with English-speaking doctors, plus quick access
to Kuta and Denpasar hospitals. See best clinics in Seminyak for the
full list, hours and costs.

Canggu

The digital-nomad capital of Bali now has a solid cluster of modern
clinics catering to long-stay foreigners, including telehealth and
membership models. Browse clinics in
Canggu
.

Ubud

Central Bali’s cultural hub relies on private clinics plus the Surya
Husadha Ubud presence for hospital-grade backup. See clinics in Ubud.

Sanur

A favourite of long-stay and older visitors, Sanur has established
clinics and sits close to Denpasar’s major hospitals. See clinics in Sanur.

Kuta, Nusa Dua &
Denpasar (the medical core)

The southern triangle holds most of Bali’s accredited hospitals and
the highest concentration of international clinics. If you are staying
here, you are minutes from both a walk-in clinic and a full hospital ER.
Denpasar in particular is the island’s medical capital, home to the
widest range of specialists — browse them in our find-a-doctor directory.

What
“International Clinic” Actually Means Here

An international clinic in Bali is one geared to
foreign patients: English-speaking doctors, familiarity with travel
insurance and cashless claims, transparent pricing, and often extended
or 24-hour hours. These are distinct from local clinics that serve the
Indonesian community, which are cheaper but where English support and
insurance handling are less certain. For a foreigner without fluent
Indonesian, an international or established private clinic is usually
worth the modest premium.

Many clinics also offer doctor-on-call and hotel-visit
services
— a doctor comes to your villa or hotel room. This is
ideal when you are too unwell to travel or want privacy. We explain how
it works in hotel

Specialty Care: Where
Clinics Point You On

This is a general-clinic directory. Where you need a specific
specialty, we list the category factually and send you to the right
specialist rather than writing treatment content:

  • Dental — a dedicated dental clinic beats a GP
clinic; balidentaltourism.com is the specialist reference.
  • Fertility / IVF — see balifertility.com and
    baliivf.com.
  • Aesthetic / cosmetic — see
    baliaestheticclinic.com.
  • Stem cell — see balistemcellclinic.com.
  • Comprehensive medical check-ups as a standalone
    product — see balimedicalcheckup.com.

For English-speaking GPs, paediatricians, dermatologists and
gynaecologists across Bali, our find-a-doctor directory is the place
to browse by specialty and area.

Cost of a Clinic Visit

A private GP consultation at a Bali clinic is typically an
affordable, fixed fee — far less than a hospital ER visit — with
medication and tests charged on top. Foreigners at international clinics
pay a modest premium over local rates. For realistic numbers, see how much a doctor visit
costs in Bali

Yes. Most private and international clinics in Bali accept walk-ins,

ahead is only necessary for specialist consultations.

Do Bali clinics
have English-speaking doctors?

Are Bali
clinics good for minor medical problems?

Very much so. For “Bali belly,” minor wounds, infections, rashes,
