About Bali Medical Hub

Choosing where to be treated in a country you do not live in is hard, and most of what you find online is written by the clinic that wants your booking. Bali Medical Hub exists to give you the other thing: one place that compares Bali’s hospitals, clinics and specialists on the things that actually decide the outcome — accreditation, who the surgeon is, what it costs, and how far it is from you at 2am.

We do not treat patients, we do not take bookings, and no facility can pay to rank higher here. When you want a human to help you narrow it down, our concierge is free.

How We Work

Accreditation first

Every hospital we list is checked against its current JCI or KARS status, not against its own marketing.

Prices as quoted to foreigners

We publish the international-patient rate, because that is the one you will be charged.

Named clinicians

Where we can confirm who performs a procedure and where they trained, we say so.

No paid placement

No facility can buy a position, a badge or a recommendation on this site.

Corrections welcome

If a clinic or a reader shows us we are wrong, we change the page and note what changed.

What We Compare

Six areas where patients coming to Bali most often need to choose between facilities. Each one opens the relevant comparison.

Doctor checking a patient’s blood pressure during a consultation

Health Screenings & Check-Ups

Executive health packages differ enormously between Bali’s hospitals — which panels are included, whether imaging is on site, and how long results take. We compare what each package actually covers against what it costs.

Dental Care

Implants, veneers and crowns are what most visitors fly in for, and prices vary by a factor of three across the island. We list what each clinic charges, which materials it uses, and who does the work.

Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery

The question that matters is who is holding the scalpel and what they are registered to do. We record surgeons’ qualifications and where they trained, and we say plainly when we cannot verify a claim.

What a procedure costs a foreigner in Bali, what the hospital bills an insurer, and which facilities will deal with your provider directly instead of asking you to claim it back.

Why Use This Directory

Nobody pays to be here

Listings are not sold. A hospital cannot buy a higher position, and we take nothing from the facilities we compare.

Accreditation checked

JCI and KARS status verified against the registers rather than repeated from a brochure, with the date we checked.

Real prices, in writing

Published international-patient rates, so you can see the gap between facilities before you walk in.

Who actually speaks English

Marked per clinic and per department, not assumed from the hospital’s website.

Organised by where you are

Sanur, Denpasar, Kuta, Ubud, Canggu, Nusa Dua — because distance matters most when it is urgent.

A free human to ask

Our concierge will shortlist facilities for your case at no cost. You book directly with whoever you choose.

How to Use This Site

Four steps from "something is wrong" to an appointment you chose yourself.

  1. Start with the comparison

Open the category you need and read across facilities: accreditation, specialists, cost, location. Everything is free and nothing asks you to register.

  2. Tell us your case, if you want help

Message the concierge with your condition, your budget and where you are staying. There is no charge and no obligation.

  3. Get a shortlist with reasons

Usually two or three facilities, with why each one made the list and what the trade-off is. If none of them fits, we say that instead of pushing one.

  4. Book with the facility yourself

You contact the hospital or clinic directly, as their patient. We hold no deposit, sign nothing on your behalf, and take no commission on your treatment.

Where to Get Care in Bali

Bali’s medical facilities are clustered in a handful of areas, and in an emergency the nearest one matters more than the best one. Here is what is where.

Facilities We Cover

Our coverage centres on Bali’s accredited hospitals and licensed private clinics, including Bali International Hospital in Sanur, BIMC, Siloam and the larger private practices across the south. Listing a facility is not an endorsement of it, and it does not mean we have a commercial relationship with it — it means we have checked its accreditation, its specialties and its published rates.

Coverage is thinnest in the north and east of the island, and for sub-specialties that Bali refers to Jakarta or Singapore. Where that is the case the relevant page says so.

How We Work Together

This section is for hospitals, clinics and practices — not patients. Here is how a facility gets into the directory, what we check, and what it can and cannot ask us to change.

  1. Getting listed

There is no fee and no application to buy. A facility qualifies if it holds a current operating licence, we can identify who performs the procedures it advertises, and its pricing can be confirmed. We add facilities we find ourselves as well as ones that approach us — being listed is not something you pay for or opt into.

  2. What we verify

Accreditation is checked against the JCI and KARS registers rather than taken from a brochure, and we record the date we checked. Clinicians are matched to their registration. Prices are the international-patient rate as quoted in writing. Anything we cannot confirm is either left out or marked as unconfirmed.

  3. What you can change — and what you cannot

Send us a correction and we will fix a wrong price, a stale accreditation date, a departed specialist or a changed phone number, usually within a few days, and note that the page changed. What no facility can do is buy a higher position, add a badge, remove a competitor, or have an accurate but unflattering fact taken down.

  4. Staying current

Listings are re-checked on a rolling basis and after anything that would change them — an accreditation lapse, a department closing, a change of ownership. If we can no longer confirm the basics, the listing says so rather than quietly staying as it was.
